We are currently looking for dynamic individuals to join our Business Change Practice as a Business Analyst; allocated to a multi-disciplinary squad delivering a range of Regulatory change projects.
The focus of this role will have you working with specialist technical teams in the Corporate, Investment & Transaction Banking technology department.
The role will require the elicitation of requirements for key technology projects within the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) programme, ensuring that the bank delivers new and enhanced functionality to enable growth and minimise risk.
The role:
Complete business analysis activities for CIB application development for Supply Chain Finance i.e. Reverse Factoring.
Analyse and document business functions, processes, and information flows using various methodical and consistent techniques.
Act as the principal conduit for managing system requirements between the business and the software development team throughout the duration of a project.
Assist in the analysis of the underlying issues arising from investigations into requirements and problems, and identifies available options for consideration.
Specify information flows, processes/procedures, and data objects that will meet the business requirements.
Arrange, prepare and facilitate business user meetings and present issues and solutions both orally and in writing.
Assist in producing clearly defined acceptance tests for automated systems.
Assist in defining and justifying (in business terms) initiatives to develop/implement automated and non-automated components of new or changed business processes.
Support / act as delegate for the project manager.
Documenting functional and non-functional specifications for Agile or Waterfall developments.
Working alongside developers, BA counterparts in Operations, Technology counterparts in the US and the project manager throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role you will need:
Proven understanding of business analysis techniques, business architecture methodologies and their practical application.
Has an awareness of the structure, functions and the business environment of a financial services organisation.
Ability to recognise potential assignments outside own areas of specialisation and bring to bear appropriate expertise as necessary.
Have a sound, broad knowledge of IT and an excellent understanding of how the technical specialism relates to other areas of IT and how it impacts on other business functions.
Has a comprehensive understanding of business process improvement, benefit and risk management and software testing.
Strong analytical and communication skills – ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
Able to understand technical specifications and discuss with technical solution teams and developers
Good product knowledge; Investment Banking products
Experience working with business product owners, senior stakeholders and colleagues within a diverse technology group.
Experience working with globally distributed teams.
Detailed understanding of the Software Development lifecycle in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
