Overview: Emagine is partnering with a investment bank to seek an Associate level Risk Business Analyst. This role is integral to improving the quality of counterparty exposures and capital through meticulous data analysis and governance. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple business functions, including IT, to streamline, automate, and develop tools that address both internal credit risk and regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of daily credit risk metrics to enhance the quality of counterparty exposures and capital.

  • Work closely with various business units, including IT, to create and automate tools for Credit Risk Projects.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory capital (EEPE & sEEPE) and economic capital (Counterparty NCAT) standards.

  • Monitor, investigate, analyse, and resolve credit exposure metrics (PFE, EE, Current Exposure, GWWR, SWWR).

  • Evaluate trade bookings and types to understand their impact on Credit Risk systems.

  • Implement exclusions and adjustments in line with established governance standards.

  • Oversee limits and excesses for products, counterparties, and countries, escalating discrepancies to senior management promptly.

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports for JFSA, PRA, FINRA, and SEC, providing senior management with timely insights into credit risk exposures.

Required Experience:

  • 1 to 5 Years Experience as a Business Analyst

  • Credit Risk Exposure

  • Understanding of financial products such as derivatives and SFT.

  • Proficient in various exposure measures including MTM, PE, and EPE.

  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel; basic knowledge of SQL and Python (object-oriented programming).

  • interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships.

  • Self-Motivation: Demonstrated self-motivation, logical thinking, and a delivery-focused approach.

  • Pressure Management: Proven ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines within tight timelines.
