Overview: Seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager for a global banking initiative, emphasizing risk management, organizational alignment, and strategic consultancy expertise.
Responsibilities:
Lead and Manage Complex Workstream, overseeing a significant workstream with a substantial budget, involving the alignment of three distinct areas under a unified technology solution.
Navigate the complexities of merging functions across different organizations, streamlining processes, and consolidating IT infrastructures.
Risk Management Focus: Drive operational aspects of risk management, particularly in systems such as MUREX and in-house developments, with a keen eye on consolidating and optimizing risk-related processes.
Engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels, from senior executives to operational teams, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Display a hands-on approach, delving into details when necessary while maintaining a strategic perspective to address challenges at both high and operational levels.
Lead a team of Business Analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure successful implementation and delivery of the project.
Manage project budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring cost-effective delivery while adhering to quality standards.
Desired Skills:
Extensive experience in operational risk management within the financial services sector, with a focus on systems like MUREX.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects or global programs
Organizational Change Management: Demonstrated ability to navigate and lead organizational changes, particularly in merging functions and integrating diverse teams and systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear understanding and alignment with project goals.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, managing multiple moving parts and evolving priorities with flexibility and resilience.
Strong leadership skills, with the capability to inspire and guide a team toward successful project delivery.
In-depth understanding of the financial industry, regulations, and best practices, especially in the context of risk management.
