As a FRTB Project/Delivery Lead , you will work with various business partners (Front Office Traders, Market Risk Managers, Business Supervision Officers, Quants and Trade Control) focusing on the delivery of features and technical change on bank business models and supporting with designing and implementing solutions aligned to FRTB IMA approach.

 

The role:

  • The role will be market risk focused, consultants will be expected to be involved in both market risk and wider risk and capital related engagements.

  • As an SME, you will be responsible for management and delivery of individual work streams.

  • Owns agile roadmap and drives E2E delivery for the feature

  • Accountable to the Central Programme via E2E delivery managers

  • Provides metrics & reporting management as defined by the programme

  • Facilitates and coordinates governance forums

  • Supports the BOM & BPM in defining achievable release and sprint roadmaps

  • Ensure that clear accountability for specific deliverables is in place across all involved teams, with appropriate business and IT involvement throughout and ensure that all involved teams (whether Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Finance,
    HOST, etc) are working effectively together with common goals

  • Build and maintain excellent stakeholder engagement within the programme, while influencing strategy and shape the programme approach and governance across all work-streams involved in the end to end delivery

  • Understand the capital implications of the new FRTB Rules (IMA as well as SA)

  • Challenge the business in regards to the positions that can give rise to inefficient capital usage

  • The role will require working with senior internal stakeholders and senior external stakeholders across various functions including Front Office Trading, Risk, Product Control and Technology.

     

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Deep detailed and/or working knowledge of FRTB and an understanding of its implications as well as bot SA and IMA approaches.

  • Strong market risk and capital markets knowledge are mandatory (e.g. VaR, SVaR, CVA/XVA, RWA and ES etc.).

  • Excellent Knowledge of Fixed Income(FX) related products.

  • Ability to balance market risk experience within the consulting environment, adapt to different risk topics and have a commercial mind-set.

  • Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate effectively with peers and senior stakeholders in both business and technology / service departments

  • Delivery-focused to produce pragmatic approaches to solution delivery

  • Exceptional organisational, planning and management skills

  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and experience of managing/developing junior colleagues.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), planning, project management, networking and influencing skills.

  • Experience of delivering major regulatory change programmes in a trading environment.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory reforms impacting financial institutions (specifically, FRTB).

  • Detailed knowledge of the front-to-back operations of an investment bank.

  • Experience of working with Front Office (specifically trading), Risk or Product Control across a number of asset classes.
